Snapdragon vs Exynos: Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
So what are the difference in real
Now the Exynos Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra feels like a different smartphone
. Exynos performs 10 to 15 percent less then the Qualcomm Snapdragon in Antutu benchmarks
. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with Exynos one gets hot compared to Snapdragon one's (when you open three to four high graphic games and switch between them)
. Difference in the Camera department from Snapdragon to Exynos (now you will say how is this possible but yes the Exynos kinda get's back while processing the photos)
. Difference in battery life yes there is a difference in battery life the Exynos one gets drained faster then the Snapdragon one, you can see the difference of nearly 2hrs of battery life
Now there's a question like why samsung doesn't pick the best chip and get done with it. But it may have some reasons which i think.
. Samsung is really big company ,at some point they also want to be independent so they might be implementing it slowly and reduce the dependency on Qualcomm Snapdragon
. Asian and European market is kinda cost effective this also can be a reason samsung using Exynos processors, they can reduce the cost of their handsets.
. This time with the latest chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 they have 5G Modem with it but again many Asia countries don't have 5G network so it would be unnecessary cost on Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
obviously Exynos 990 is not a bad chipset it's used in the latest flagship of Samsung, it's just a bit back then Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.Backlag of it can be fixed in future updates of Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and performance can be optimised.
